Bill Gates Scholarships Program for International Students {Fully Funded}

The Gates Grant is a competitive, last-dollar scholarship for exceptional minority high school graduates from low-income families. The scholarship is given to 300 of these student leaders each year in order to help them reach their full potential.

Scholars will receive money for the entire cost of attendance* that is not already covered by other financial assistance, as assessed by the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) or the methodology utilized by a Scholar’s institution or university.

Tuition, fees, accommodation and board, books, and transportation are all included in the cost of attendance, which may also include extra personal expenses.

Fundamental Eligibility
To be eligible to apply, students must be:

1. a senior in high school

2. Ethnicity: African-American, American Indian/Alaska Native*, Asian & Pacific Islander American, and/or Hispanic American

3. Pell-qualified

4. A citizen, national, or permanent resident of the United States

5. Be in good academic standing, with a cumulative weighted GPA of at least 3.3 on a 4.0 scale (or equivalent)

A student must also intend to attend full-time in a four-year degree program at a US-accredited, not-for-profit, private or public college or university.

*Proof of tribe enrollment will be required for American Indian/Alaska Native applicants.

PERFECT CANDIDATE
An ideal applicant will have the following characteristics:

1. An great academic record in high school (ranking in the top 10% of his or her graduating class)

2. Demonstrated ability to lead (e.g., as shown through participation in community service, extracurricular, or other activities)

3. Outstanding personal success abilities (e.g., emotional maturity, motivation, perseverance, etc.)

5. Select the CREATE ACCOUNT option.

6. You will quickly get a welcome email with a verification code that will allow you to check in to your Email account. Please check your junk/spam folder if you haven’t received an email from us within a few minutes.

7. Please confirm your account by clicking the LINK given to your email address.

8. Sign in to your account by providing your email address and password in the appropriate fields.

9. After that, you must modify your Profile, Address/Phone, High School Info, MySocialNetworks, and MyTGS System Preferences.

Scholarship Application Deadline
The application portal will be online on July 15 and will accept applications through December 30.
